Rental Terms

These terms cover container rentals and removal work from Waste Away. Anything specific to your job is confirmed on the phone when you book at 207-289-5168.

Rate and term

The standard term is one week at $600, which includes 2 tons of disposal. Weight beyond 2 tons is billed at the rate the disposal facility charges. Longer terms and swap-outs are arranged by phone.

Loading

Load level with the top rail. Material above the rail cannot be legally transported and will need to be removed before pickup. Distribute heavy material across the floor of the container rather than piling it at one end.

Prohibited material

No tires, car batteries, asbestos, paint or solvents, refrigerant-containing appliances, or hazardous and radioactive material. If prohibited material is found in a load, the customer is responsible for the disposal cost the facility assesses.

Placement and access

Containers are set on planks to protect the surface. The customer confirms the drop spot and is responsible for clearing vehicles and obstructions before delivery, and for any municipal permit required when a container sits on a street or in the right of way. Soft ground, steep grades, and low limbs can change or cancel a placement.

Liability

Waste Away is licensed and insured. The customer accepts responsibility for the contents of the container while it is on the property and for damage caused by overloading or by prohibited material.
